2008 Player Evaluations

Reschedule Due to Rain
Due to rains and wet grounds, all Player Evaluations have been rescheduled to Saturday, February 2.  Times and locations are the same.  Check below.

What are Player Evaluations?

Evaluations are mandatory for all players -- returning and new -- in Pinto, Mustang, Bronco, and Pony Divisions.  (There are no evaluations for Shetland Division.)

At Evaluations, players will be asked to perform a few baseball skills, such as hitting, running, throwing, etc.  Each player's turn shouldn't take more than a few minutes.

Please note that if you've registered with NPPB, you will get to play on an NPPB team.  No player will be turned away or otherwise penalized based on performance at Evaluations.  Players' performances at Evaluations are used solely to allow each Division to attempt to balance its teams.  So no pressure.  Just do what you can, you'll be fine, and we'll see you back when the season starts.

Can I register at Evaluations?

If you haven't already registered, you may register at Evaluations, but there will be an additional late fee.  (See registration information.)  Players registering during Evaluations will have to evaluate during makeups.

What should I bring to Evaluations?

Bring a baseball glove.  And wear cleated shoes: baseball cleats, if you have them, but soccer cleats will also do.  And that's about it.  (Bats and balls and helmets will be provided, although you can bring your own bat and/or helmet if you like.)

Well, you do have to bring yourself...

What if I have other questions?

Feel free to contact your Division's Vice President and/or Player Agent, as listed above, or the Registration Director.  (See Board of Directors contact information.)

We'll see you there!
