NPPB Parking Regulations

Updated for 2007

Parking on some streets near Dos Vientos is restricted at the request of some of the neighbors.

Updated for 2006

Parking on the residential streets at the Sequoia Middle School fields is not allowed.  Sequoia is very serious about this.  We will lose permission to play at Sequoia if this is not respected!

Regulations

Newbury Park PONY Baseball plays baseball on Conejo Valley Unified School District and Conejo Recreation & Park District fields.  We are required to apply and pay for permits to play on these fields each year.  Parking restrictions are part of the permit agreements, and must be respected if we are to keep permission to play on these fields.

By signing your children up to play in the Newbury Park PONY Baseball League, you are agreeing to abide by these parking restrictions.  You are also responsible for advising other family members and guests of these restrictions.  Failure to follow these parking restrictions will result in suspension of the player in the family for the game that day and/or the next game.

A few specific regulations:

Sequoia Middle School (Shetland, Pinto, and Mustang Divisions)
The only authorized parking is in the Sequoia and/or Manzanita School parking lots.  No parking on the residential streets.  (The only exceptions are for cars with valid handicap placards.)  Sequoia Middle School is very serious about this, as their neighbors do complain when anyone parks on the residential streets for baseball.  We could lose our permission to play at Sequoia's fields is this rule is not taken seriously!  If anyone does park on the nearby residential streets, all games will be stopped until the offending car has been moved.
Dos Vientos Park (All Divisions)
Street parking near Dos Vientos Park is restricted to only the "park side" of Via El Toro and up around the corner on Via Ricardo near the volleyball courts.  In particular, please do not park cars in front of the seven homes directly across the street from the Shetland field.  Anyone attending an NPPB game who does park on the street directly in front of these houses will be asked to move, and the game being played may be stopped until the offending car has been moved.  (Note that there is always plenty of parking within the Dos Vientos Community Center parking lot.)
Cypress School/Park (Pinto, Mustang and Pony Divisions)
Only Pony Division parents are to park in the park parking lot.  If the park lot is full, you must park in the Cypress School parking lot.  No parking on the neighborhood streets.  Pinto & Mustang parents must park in the Cypress School parking lot or on Kimber directly in front of the school.
Manzanita School (Shetland)
The only Authorized parking is in the Manzanita School parking lot or on Michael Drive directly in front of the school.

Penalties

All games will be stopped until the car is moved.  If the car is not moved and the offending person does not admit that it is their car, the player will be suspended from the next game.  If the car is moved, a written warning will be given stating that a second offense will result in the player being suspended for their next game.

Please understand that these parking regulations are serious.  If they are not strictly followed, we could lose our permits to play in the fields where we do.

Thanks!

Thank you in advance for your cooperation and assistance in helping us to meet our permit requirements imposed by the Conejo Valley Unified School District and the Conejo Recreation & Park District.
